The Lead Revenue Specialist (‘LRS’) oversees all aspects of financial inventory management for a designated portfolio of strategic partners. Serving as a trusted advisor, this highly impactful role entails full ownership of work-in-progress (‘WIP’), billing and collections, ensuring exemplary support and effective revenue management.

The LRS collaborates directly with partners, practices, clients and administrative leaders to drive portfolio success. The position requires an essential combination of service and operational excellence commitments, ownership, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, innovation and tactical execution.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
 

  • Serve as the critical point of contact for WIP, billing and collections for designated partners, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution
  • Coordinate the end-to-end revenue cycle, including processing invoices, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely submission and payment
  • Interface directly with clients to address billing inquiries, resolve payment issues and foster positive relationships to support timely collections
  • Offer guidance to partners and their practices on effective billing practices, compliance standards and utilization of Firm resources
  • Identify inefficiencies in billing and collections workflows, recommend and implement impactful process improvements and innovative solutions
  • Analyze billing and collections data to identify trends, propose solutions and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle performance
  • Leverage analytics to monitor key performance metrics, provide actionable insights and report on progress toward financial goals
  • Track WIP and accounts receivable to proactively address aging invoices and minimize outstanding balances
  • Partner with finance and administrative colleagues to address complex issues, enhance workflows and improve financial outcomes
  • Build and sustain trusted partnerships with assigned partners, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to Firm policies and client requirements related to the inventory cycle
  • Provide guidance, training and support to staff members as needed, sharing expertise and promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Complete special projects, requests and other tasks as assigned
     

Education/Training/Certifications

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
     

Professional Experience
 

  • 3+ years of experience in billing collections or revenue cycle management within a professional services environment, strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of streamlining processes, implementing best practices and resolving complex challenges, required
  • Experience in collaborating with senior professionals and external clients to address needs, resolve financial matters, improve processes and ensure high levels of service, required
