Description:
The Multifamily Housing Practice Group represents lenders active in the multifamily housing industry, closing loans secured by multifamily projects and delivering those loans to secondary market investors, such as Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. The Legal Practice Assistant provides high level support to multiple attorneys in the Multifamily Housing Practice Group, including the revision of complex loan documents to complete loan transactions by following detailed and precise instructions from the attorneys and appropriate lenders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Draft complex loan documents and prepare required signature pages in accordance with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and client requirements.
- Prepare black line document comparisons to identify revisions.
- Complete revisions to loan documents following detailed and precise instructions provided by the attorneys and appropriate lenders.
- Assist with maintaining Multifamily Housing attorney deal tracking spreadsheets.
- Provide quality client service to both internal and external clients effectively and professionally, working effectively both independently and with teams to promote consistent and efficient workflow processes.
- Identify and respond to internal and external client inquiries in a timely manner and seek feedback/follow-up as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of department objectives, key activities and requirements in order to anticipate and proactively address the needs of the team.

- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire, familiarity with the roles and function of the assigned department, and any specifically applicable laws or guidelines.

- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or any combination of experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Minimum of three (3) years of legal and/or real estate industry experience.
