A prestigious international law firm, recognized globally for its excellence in litigation and labor & employment law, is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join their Labor & Employment Departments in Century City, CA. The successful candidate will support a team of attorneys, managing complex client and legal administrative needs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is a vital position requiring exceptional organizational skills, an understanding of legal procedures, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative legal setting and be able to handle multiple priorities with precision and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys with the preparation of new client applications and conflict checks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate and manage complex domestic and international travel arrangements in collaboration with a travel agency, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, meeting spaces, and loyalty account details.

  • Liaise with the Accounting Department to manage high-volume billing and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate invoice preparation to meet diverse client-specific billing formats and requirements.

  • Enter attorney time daily into the firm’s timekeeping system to ensure compliance with firm and client billing deadlines.

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive expense reports on behalf of attorneys.

  • Draft, format, revise, and finalize a broad range of litigation-related legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.

  • Establish, organize, and maintain both paper and electronic legal files, ensuring compliance with the firm’s document management policies.


Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate transactional and closing procedures.

  • Strong proficiency in formatting briefs, pleadings, and other litigation-specific documents.

  • Familiarity with California and Federal Court e-filing systems and related procedural rules.

  • Solid understanding of legal terminology and document types commonly used in litigation and employment law.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with strong attention to detail and discretion.
