Machine Learning Engineer

Meritore Technologies is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer for an on-site role in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ML model development, generative AI, NLP, and cloud-based AI/ML frameworks. This is a contract opportunity, available on W2, C2C, or 1099 basis.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced NLP and generative AI solutions such as chatbots, document processing tools, and customer service AI agents. You will work extensively with GPT-4, Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Search, and multiple ML and deep learning frameworks. The role also includes building and integrating safe, robust AI systems with mechanisms like prompt engineering, content filtering, and bias mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and implement ML models including generative AI-based applications.

• Lead development of NLP solutions such as chatbots, document processors, and sentiment analyzers.

• Fine-tune and integrate LLMs for customer support, advisory platforms, and knowledge management.

• Establish safeguards for generative AI including prompt tuning, content filtering, and fairness practices.

• Tackle key challenges such as model drift, data drift, hyperparameter tuning, and model validation.

• Collaborate using MLOps best practices, containerized services, and cloud platforms.

Technical Skills Required:

• Programming & Tools: Python, Scikit-learn, Azure ML, GPT-4, Azure OpenAI, Azure SQL, Random Forest, Linear Regression

• Frameworks & Libraries: TensorFlow, Keras, NLTK, Spacy, Neo4j

• Cloud & Platforms: Azure AutoML, AWS SageMaker, DataBricks, DataRobot, H2O.ai

• MLOps & Containers: MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes

• Techniques: Deep Learning, NLP, Sentiment Analysis, Topic Modeling, Graph Theory, Model Tuning

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in machine learning model development and AI solutioning

• Proven experience developing applications using GPT-4 and Azure OpenAI

• Hands-on expertise with MLOps pipelines and generative AI applications

• Solid understanding of NLP, computer vision, and ML lifecycle management
