Description:

Johnson & Johnson MedTech – Biosense Webster is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in cardiovascular medicine. This role is business-critical, bridging scientific and clinical expertise with field and commercial teams. Responsibilities focus on KOL engagement, advisory boards, research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic engagement plans for KOLs, surgeons, and operating room staff

• Serve as a scientific authority in cardiac electrophysiology

• Provide medical and scientific education to internal and external stakeholders

• Collaborate with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, and R&D teams

• Communicate complex scientific information to healthcare professionals

• Stay updated on literature and trends in cardiac electrophysiology and appendage closure

• Lead preparation of presentations, symposia, and educational programs

• Support clinical studies and investigator-initiated research

• Train internal teams to ensure deep understanding of product platforms

• Analyze and report on customer, scientific, and market information

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD)

• Extensive knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, especially cardiac electrophysiology

• Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and regulatory guidelines

• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

• Self-motivated, independent, and adaptable

• U.S. work authorization required

• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)

• Willingness to travel 50%

• Base pay: $137,000 – $235,750 (varies by location); California Bay Area: $168,000 – $271,400
