Maintenance Coordinator

 

Description:

The Maintenance Coordinator supports remote triage efforts and coordinates maintenance activities to ensure that the IT network remains up to date while proactively planning for future needs. Additionally, this role includes managing contract and license due dates to maintain compliance and operational efficiency, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities (essential functions): 

 Network Infrastructure Management : Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices and infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable operations, with the ability to provide on-site support when needed.
 Hardware and Software Maintenance : Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware and software, including regular maintenance, updates, patches, and upgrades to prevent failures and ensure systems function properly.
 Configuration Updates : Implement configuration updates and manage code upgrades for network devices and software applications to optimize performance and security.
 Troubleshooting and Technical Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve IT-related issues, minimize disruptions to business operations, and address user concerns effectively.
 Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting procedures, and generate regular performance reports.
 Security Management : Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect network integrity and conduct regular security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
 User Support and Training : Provide technical assistance and training to staff on IT systems and best practices to enhance user skills and knowledge.
 Vendor Coordination and Collaboration : Liaise with hardware and software vendors to coordinate maintenance services, warranty claims, and upgrades, while working collaboratively with other IT team members to align activities with organizational goals.
 Inventory and Procurement Management : Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets and manage procurement processes to ensure timely availability of resources.
 Continuous Improvement and Optimization : Stay current with industry trends and best practices, developing strategies to optimize IT operations, reduce downtime, and enhance network efficiency through automation and scripting.
 Scripting for Network Support : Develop and maintain scripts to streamline network processes, support system administration, and improve overall network performance.

 Network Monitoring and Management : Familiarity with network monitoring tools and network management systems to proactively monitor network performance.
