Memorial Healthcare System, one of the leading healthcare providers in Florida, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join its dedicated Imaging Services team in Pembroke Pines. The Mammography Technologist will perform comprehensive breast imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and industry standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, compassion, and strong technical expertise to ensure high-quality imaging and outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography and related imaging procedures following applicable standards and facility policies.

• Review patient history and physician orders, ensuring all procedures are appropriate and necessary.

• Educate patients on imaging procedures, equipment, and exam expectations to ensure comfort and cooperation.

• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within the scope of practice.

• Monitor patients continuously, responding appropriately to any change in condition.

• Set up imaging equipment, select proper parameters, and perform safety checks and quality control.

• Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.

• Accurately position patients and perform imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.

• Analyze images and take corrective measures if necessary (repositioning or repeating the procedure).

• Maintain accurate documentation, utilize correct billing codes, and manage supply usage efficiently.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) with Mammography (M) certification

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – State of Florida

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

This position involves a mix of standing, walking, bending, lifting (including patient handling up to 35+ lbs), and frequent hand and arm movements. Employees may be exposed to biological and chemical hazards, radiation, and other hospital-related conditions, while working in a fast-paced environment requiring precision and focus.
