Description:
EY is seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Tax Manager to join its Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice, specializing in real estate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile national and multinational clients, providing both domestic and international transactional tax planning services and advisory support.
As a Seasonal Manager, you will deliver tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, including internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions (US GAAP ↔ IFRS), share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts. You will also assist clients in preparing and reviewing tax provisions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control environments, including evaluating tax risks and control processes under Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead tax accounting projects and provide advisory support.
Prepare, review, and enhance tax provisions.
Identify, prioritize, monitor, and remediate key risks in tax processes.
Improve efficiency and accuracy in tax provision and control processes.
Provide specialized guidance on real estate-related tax matters.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
Strong knowledge in tax accounting and provision preparation.
Real estate experience is a plus.
Ability to enhance processes and controls for tax accounting.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred).
Active US CPA license or state bar membership.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Broad understanding of federal income taxation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ASC 740, IAS 12, corporate tax planning, and compliance.
Experience in business or industry with exposure to federal income taxation.
