Description:
InStride is looking for a Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting to join a dedicated finance and accounting team that can scale with our emerging, high growth company. The role is a key leadership role that will help lead the monthly financial close process, process improvements, and support cross functional strategic projects including international expansion, system implementations, etc.
The candidate should possess a blend of Big 4/public accounting experience as well as in-house accounting experience at either a high-growth software/technology company or a more mature company. This position will report to the Controller.
Responsibilities
- The Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting role is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to advance to the next step in their career
- Manage complex accounting processes, accounting transactions, and account reconciliations for key corporate areas during the month-end accounting close cycle
- Manage the entire consolidation process and lead the development of the audited financial statements and related note disclosures
- Support systems maintenance and improvement initiatives across a variety of financial systems including: NetSuite, Avalara, Chargebee, TravelBank, payroll, etc.
- Review partnership tax returns, estimates and extensions prepared by CPA firms’
- Oversee and manage a team of highly motivated, dynamic individuals through effective leadership practices, while maintaining a high level of performance
- Meet and establish team goals and provide progress updates to leadership on all major projects
- Prepare and present various ad hoc analyses as requested
- Assist with managing the work of external consultants as required
- Other projects as required
Ideal Profile
- B.A. or B.S. in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- Minimum of 7 years accounting experience (blended corporate and public accounting experience with Big 4/SaaS industry experience preferred)
