Position Overview:
The Managing Counsel, Legislative & Policy will lead the company’s legislative and policy legal function, providing strategic legal counsel on a wide range of policy, legislative, and regulatory matters. This senior role will work closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to advance company objectives while managing legal risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all legislative legal matters across federal, state, and international jurisdictions.

• Advise senior leadership, government affairs, and communications teams on key policy topics, including:

  • AI and emerging technology

  • Data privacy and consumer health data

  • Direct-to-consumer telehealth

  • Corporate practice of medicine

  • Compounding and pharmacy operations

• Review and advise on policy documents, briefings, and legislative initiatives.

• Analyze and interpret proposed laws and regulations and their business impact.

• Partner with the Government Affairs team on policy strategies and advocacy efforts.

• Collaborate across legal functions (litigation, product, privacy, etc.).

• Represent the company in trade associations and external policy forums.

• Monitor and communicate evolving healthcare and data privacy laws.

• Manage and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals.

• Engage and manage outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• 12+ years of experience, including significant in-house legislative/policy legal experience.

• Strong background in healthcare regulation, policy, or telehealth preferred.

• Deep expertise in one or more of: AI, privacy, telehealth, corporate practice of medicine, compounding, or pharmacy operations.

• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset; comfortable navigating ambiguity.
