Description:

Under the direction of the Lead Engineer for Continuous Improvement, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the Continuous Improvement Organization across the business unit and manufacturing plants. Acting as “boots on the ground,” the engineer plans, implements, and follows through on manufacturing improvement initiatives aimed at improving on-time delivery, productivity, quality, cost, safety, and environmental performance. The role also requires supporting internal and external consultants, customers, and suppliers in sustaining improvements.

Candidates should have experience with manufacturing improvement techniques, flow principles, Kanban, PFEP, value stream mapping, and Toyota Production System pillars. Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with project leadership experience and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. The position requires time spent on the shop floor to interact with employees and gain hands-on insights into operations.
