Description:
Summary of Role: In this role, you will prepare and perform manual tasks (inspection, deburring, etc.) or run a CNC machine such as drilling, milling, etc., to within close tolerances. In addition, you are responsible for producing high quality parts and materials by reading and interpreting blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain tooling in peak condition.
- Understand specifications and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings, etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Supervise the machine while it executes the program and make any necessary adjustments to produce the desired result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed, and done properly.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repair.
- Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating any actions taken or needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
- Solid mechanical aptitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings preferred.
- Ability to operate and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and activities while prioritizing according to requirements.
- Understands, writes and speaks basic and technical English.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts if required.
- 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
