Description:


Working within the Electrification Installation Products (ELIP), you will be responsible for implementing product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy. The role of the Market Development Manager is to define and execute marketing and sales strategies for our Renewable Energy segment aimed at increasing both top line revenues and bottom line margins at the vertical market segment. The successful candidate will ensure the definition of the business plan, annual sales plans, and marketing strategies according to budget. Leadership and coaching of extended indirect teams across sales, product management, marketing and associated support teams will be critical to success. This is a remote friendly role that will have up to 50% travel based depending on workload, customers, etc.

Your responsibilities

 

  • Plans and implements the go to market vertical market strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategies
  • Analyzes market segment customer needs for the portfolio; identifies and helps the team to execute winning value propositions and strategies to penetrate and WIN market share within the target segments
  • Researches and analyzes market and market segment customer data to identify trends, issues, and other relevant information to determine specific requirements, effects of current and potential market conditions and regulations that may affect product marketing strategies. Provides support and recommendations for campaign strategies and related communications
  • Provides market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new opportunities, channels, or solution approaches. Participates in internal work groups to share know-how, processes, and market information
  • Identifies key decision makers within the market segment, which can consist of OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers), end users, general and electrical contractors, and engineering specification firms. Collaborates with all related internal contacts, such as Sales, Marketing and Product Management to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the commercial strategy
  • Ensures achievement of sales targets and budgets within the market segment through definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
  • Defines prioritized customer conversion targets and owns follow up to ensure goals are met. Participates in customer visits, solicits VOC (Voice of the Customer), and provides input to Sales and product marketing on go to market strategies, product development, sales enablement, and digital tools
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing market segment customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Develops and implements product support and product training to ensure high customer satisfaction in cooperation with BU (Business Unit) Global Marketing, Product Managements and Sales. Drives continuous improvement on Net Promoter Score (NPS)
