Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Private Wealth Advisor Market Leader to lead its high-performing wealth management team in Minneapolis, MN. This senior leadership role is ideal for a strategic, client-focused professional with deep expertise in private banking, wealth advisory, and team development. The position combines leadership, business growth, and client relationship management to strengthen Associated Bank’s private wealth presence across the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding an integrated team of Private Bankers, Wealth Planners, Financial Advisors, and Trust Officers to deliver customized wealth management strategies for high-net-worth clients. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping market strategy, mentoring leaders, and enhancing client experiences in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Lead and coach a team of wealth professionals to drive performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute strategic market plans to increase Private Wealth market share and attract high-net-worth clients.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with affluent clients, providing comprehensive financial, investment, and estate planning advice.
Collaborate across internal banking lines (consumer, commercial, investment, and legal teams) to ensure cohesive financial strategies and governance compliance.
Oversee client engagement, retention, and satisfaction metrics while driving measurable business outcomes.
Recruit, develop, and inspire wealth management professionals through mentorship and performance-driven leadership.
Represent the organization externally through community involvement, networking, and advocacy for the wealth management brand.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 12 years of experience in financial services or wealth management.
Minimum 7 years in leadership roles managing wealth advisory or private banking teams.
Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio management, and financial planning principles.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate high-performing teams while maintaining a client-centric focus.
Demonstrated success in market development, client acquisition, and strategic execution.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
Advanced certifications such as CFP®, CFA®, or CTFA® are advantageous.
