The Jack Welch Management Institute seeks winners with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to execute. As our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will work primarily on social media, email marketing, and project management within JWMI’s marketing department. This position will focus on email marketing, social media operations and strategy, video content, and overall content support. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will also assist with reporting/metrics and managing the daily marketing operations. We will invest in you to make sure you have all the tools and resources to drive our next phase of growth and help shape you into a leader.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Email Management
  • Develop new content for email campaigns.
  • Manage existing automated and ad-hoc email campaigns within Eloqua that support various JWMI departments including, marketing, admissions, and advising.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns, track key email metrics on an ongoing basis, drive insights from results, and share recommendations with the broader JWMI marketing team.
  • Produce a bi-weekly newsletter.
  • Social Media Management
  • Develop and manage an active social following while increasing social-based website traffic and leads.
  • Draft compelling social media content (video content, graphic images, etc.) utilizing Jack Welch and JWMI’s existing content.
  • Support execution of paid social media/search campaigns.
  • Content Development
  • Repurpose and optimize existing content for digital channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team channel leads to execute content marketing strategy and initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads that grow our MBA student population.
  • Project Management
  • Maintain the various marketing planning calendars (social and content).
  • Assist in managing the operations of a busy team.

Job Skills:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficient in working in Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver and Photoshop), video editing software, email marketing platform (Eloqua), and project management software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple social media channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze web, digital, and social metrics.
  • Ability to process suggestions, corrections, and feedback constructively and professionally.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skill sets and tools and the ability to put that learning into action.
  • Intellectually curious, high energy with a passion for getting stuff done.

Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in communications and/or marketing (3-4 years preferred).

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.

Other:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office includes movement from floor to floor.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs a warrant.
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate, verbally and written, both up and down the management chain.
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations.
  • Strong mental acuity.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
