Marketing Lead

 

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Lead on the Global Innovation Sales & Marketing COE team. In this role, you will be responsible for marketing/sales activities across innovation startup businesses with a focus on government and municipalities. You will work across a small innovation team to develop, test, and size new businesses taking them from idea to reality at scale. The Marketing Lead needs to be a creative problem solver and possess a strong set of marketing/sales skills including empathy research, journey mapping, brand strategy/positioning, go-to-market planning/execution, sales channels & customer acquisition. We want someone who can lead the development and execution of marketing/sales strategies, be agile in decision-making, can formulate a strong POV, activate and adjust plans strategically in a changing environment. This position will be remote with some possible travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute marketing strategies with focus around government and municipalities
  • Support marketing needs of a sales organization focused on selling to the public sector
  • Drive high level concepting, tactical program ideation and sharp articulations for an ever-changing variety of outputs
  • Lead key content projects including: the creation of new content to support sales/product teams, providing editorial support, leading communications projects, managing content consistency, and owning marketing content strategy, creation & execution
  • Manage multiple sales & marketing efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, businesses, and organizational units
  • Experience in strategic partnership with multiple organizations and partners
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to gain marketing insights and uncover key consumer insights and opportunities.
  • Understand public sector customer needs, document customer journeys, identify pain points and moments that matter to ensure each innovation initiative delivers an exceptional customer experience
  • Provide thought leadership and help shape impactful product & marketing innovation
  • Clearly and succinctly present concepts and explain findings to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present presentations to various levels of leadership
  • Uphold brand standards across all programs
  • Work in a fast-paced atmosphere with tight deadlines


Additional Job Description

Background/Experiences:

  • Solid career progression in marketing & sales positions with refined skills in concept development, marketing strategy & execution, go-to-market planning & execution as well as a foundation in customer experience
  • Experience in a professional services marketing organization marketing to the government and public sector, is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with user testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, a variety of research methods and survey design
  • Experience leveraging customer segmentation and customer journeys to deliver relevant benefits and experiences to drive business results.
  • The skills to tell a synthesized and engaging story based on insights and analyses. Build short, clear PowerPoint decks and present quickly and clearly to key decision-makers.
  • Experience working within a startup environment (strongly preferred)
  • Significant experience in complex integrated/automated marketing campaigns, segmentation strategies.
  • Significant experience in data analysis and data driven marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, as well as strong planning, time management and organizational proficiencies.
  • Proven record of experience developing, implementing, managing and measuring brand communication strategies and plans.
  • Ability to understand the market, develop unique consumer insights and translate them into detailed and concrete marketing strategies
  • Ability to think strategically, conceptualize creatively
  • Entrepreneurial drive / demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across different departments and backgrounds, strong and clear communication skills
  • Lateral problem-solving skills. Be able to identify possible solutions outside of the obvious marketing/sales space.
  • Experience creating marketing strategy for on-demand/software as a service application's
  • Experience with Government Bid/Procurement Process
  • Co-Branded Product/Marketing experience, a plus
