Master Stylist

Description:

Ulta Beauty seeks a passionate and skilled Master Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and deliver professional hair and beauty services. The Master Stylist supports the salon management by focusing on performance metrics such as sales and productivity, people-centric guest service, and compliance with operating procedures.

You will perform a variety of hair services including haircuts, coloring, treatments, styling, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercings (where applicable). The role emphasizes delivering exceptional guest experiences, meeting sales goals, supporting in-store promotions and events, and maintaining salon cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of hair and beauty services with professional expertise.

• Meet or exceed an average weekly sales goal of $1250 and contribute to overall store goals.

• Provide product demonstrations and promote sales of professional hair care and makeup products.

• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams to enhance guest experiences.

• Stay informed on industry trends, product knowledge, and new services.

• Maintain salon cleanliness, follow safety and sanitation protocols, and adhere to company policies.

• Use booking and client management systems effectively to schedule appointments.

• Participate in mandatory training and contribute to team success.

Qualifications:

• Cosmetology license required.

• Previous experience in relevant salon or beauty services.

• Proficiency in modern haircutting, coloring, styling, treatment techniques, and makeup application.

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions:

• Requires standing for long periods, continuous mobility, lifting/moving up to 10 lbs, frequent bending and reaching.
