Ulta Beauty, the largest North American beauty retailer, is seeking a Master Stylist for its salon in Independence, Missouri. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about beauty, fashion trends, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Master Stylist plays a vital role in engaging with guests, consulting on their hair care needs, performing a wide variety of hair services, and recommending appropriate products and services to enhance the guest’s overall look and satisfaction.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing hair services such as haircuts, color treatments, texture styling, hair design, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup application, and ear piercing where applicable. The position emphasizes achieving an average weekly sales goal of $1250 and contributing to retail and service sales goals, customer loyalty programs, and the prevention of inventory shrinkage.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in the latest salon techniques, product recommendations, and equipment use. Strong guest relationship-building skills, exceptional service attitude, and teamwork are essential. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves continuous standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.

You’ll also support Ulta Beauty's marketing initiatives, in-store events, and ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. Participation in ongoing training and professional development is expected to maintain industry-leading service quality and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Valid Cosmetology License

• Proficiency in haircutting, hair coloring, texture and treatment services, styling, makeup, and more

• Strong communication and guest engagement skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Knowledge of pro hair care and makeup products

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting light weights
