As a Master Stylist, you’ll provide a wide range of professional hair services—from cuts and color to treatments and styling—while promoting Ulta Beauty’s mission of transforming lives through the power of beauty. You’ll act as a key ambassador of the brand, ensuring that every guest enjoys a luxurious, welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance:

• Perform high-quality salon services including haircutting, coloring, highlighting, texture, treatments, styling, updos, extensions, blowouts, keratin treatments, and makeup applications.

• Maintain an average weekly sales goal of $1,250 while consistently meeting productivity and service standards.

• Provide personalized consultations to understand guests’ hair care needs and recommend appropriate products and services.

• Support and participate in store events, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities to enhance guest engagement.

• Stay updated on current beauty trends, techniques, and product innovations to continuously improve service quality.

Guest Experience & Relationship Building:

• Deliver outstanding guest service by creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the visit.

• Build strong, long-term relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and referrals.

• Partner with skin therapists and retail associates to deliver a holistic beauty experience for each client.

• Promote Ulta Beauty’s loyalty program, credit services, and mobile app to enhance the guest experience.

Process & Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic salon environment in compliance with state board regulations and Ulta Beauty’s policies.

• Ensure proper sanitation of tools and workstations before and after every service.

• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code and uphold company standards in all interactions.

• Accurately manage client appointments, records, and payments using the company’s booking systems.

Qualifications:

• Valid Cosmetology License (State of Washington).

• Proven professional experience in hairstyling and salon services.

• Strong knowledge of hair color, cutting, styling, and chemical treatments.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.

• Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs.).

• Maintain continuous mobility throughout the shift.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly rate: $16.66 – $22.90/hr (based on experience, qualifications, and location).
