Description:

Gartner, a global leader in research and advisory services, is seeking a talented MDM Product Owner to join their Chief Data and Analytics team. This role focuses on managing enterprise and account customer data domains, driving process improvements, data quality, and execution of projects both large and small scale.

Gartner IT champions innovation, delivering advanced digital solutions that support Gartner’s internal teams and client-facing services. The MDM Product Owner will be key in shaping and aligning product vision, roadmaps, and strategies to ensure data excellence and improved transparency for stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain, and align the product vision, roadmap, and strategy with business and technical stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on site and offshore to produce business deliverables including Data Flow Diagrams, Business and Functional Requirements, User Stories, and User Acceptance Tests

  • Translate customer needs into detailed user stories, ensuring clarity for development teams and stakeholders

  • Continuously prioritize and refine backlog items, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and long-term strategy while managing dependencies

  • Work closely with technical teams to uphold quality standards and perform user acceptance testing to meet acceptance criteria

  • Analyze relevant business areas, understand technical options, costs, risks, and recommend solutions or alternatives

  • Periodically review data records/attributes to ensure data quality and generate insights to improve data value and transparency across Gartner

  • Maintain process documentation and provide support to analysts, business owners, and project managers for business initiatives


Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, preferably with exposure to Master Data Management or Analytics environments

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to gather, interpret, and document business processes, user needs, and data requirements clearly

  • Capability to decompose complex business workflows into understandable components for different audiences

  • Proficient with tools such as MS Excel, MS Word, Google Suite, MS Visio, Lucidchart, JIRA, and Confluence

  • Advanced SQL skills and basic knowledge of data analysis tools are a plus
