Medical Assistant

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain recent vital sign readings from patient-owned devices, such as glucose meters and pulse oximeters.
• Collect and update patient information, including medical history, medications, allergies, and recent treatments.
• Guide patients in checking blood pressure, temperature, weight, or heart rate if they have home monitoring equipment.
• Document the chief complaint and current symptoms in the EHR before the provider's consultation.

Certifications:

• Any healthcare-related certification is required, such as CCMA, CNA, BLS, CPR, or an equivalent credential

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish OR Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)
• At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or remote setting
