Description:
The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for leading the on-site execution and overall success of industrial construction projects, especially tilt-wall projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent oversees subcontractors, manages quality control and assurance, maintains project schedules, and ensures a positive experience for all stakeholders involved.
This position requires extensive travel and extended stays at project sites, with company-provided travel home every other weekend.
Manage all field operations and subcontractors
Ensure project is built according to plans, specifications, and schedule
Work closely with the Project Manager to drive project success
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and owners
Maintain current project documents including blueprints, specs, revisions
Ensure workmanship meets established standards and quality requirements
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
Manage and follow a Critical Path Method (CPM) construction schedule
Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term project activities
Resolve on-site challenges and maintain project momentum
Motivate, lead, and hold field teams accountable
Cultivate a positive and productive jobsite environment
Drive toward zero punch list performance
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
Strong background in tilt-wall industrial projects
Ability to travel extensively and remain on-site for long durations
Strong understanding of construction documents and specifications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Strong leadership, self-motivation, and ownership mindset
General computer literacy; willingness to adopt new tech tools
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong communicator with client-service mindset
Proactive problem-solver
Driven, self-starting leader
Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining standards
