Montefiore Einstein Faculty Practice Group, in collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is recruiting a Chief for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The Division Chief will oversee the growth and advancement of a comprehensive pediatric Critical Care Medicine program through clinical excellence, research, education, faculty development, and community engagement. The candidate will be a dynamic physician-leader with a strong record in clinical leadership, academic accomplishments, and administrative management.

The Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) at CHAM includes 20 high-acuity beds and 6 intermediate care beds. The Chief will lead a multidisciplinary team consisting of 11 full-time faculty, 4 house physicians, and critical care nurses, therapists, nutritionists, social workers, and others. The PCCU supports a busy Pediatric Emergency Department and multiple subspecialties, serving as a referral center for the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester, and Hudson Valley. Services include advanced mechanical cardiac support (ECLS, VAD, IABP), extracorporeal liver support (MARS), complex ventilation, transplantation, cellular therapies, and continuous renal replacement therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a high-quality Pediatric Critical Care program

• Foster clinical innovation, research, education, and faculty recruitment and mentorship

• Manage clinical operations and collaborate with hospital leadership and community stakeholders

• Oversee care delivery in the PCCU, including advanced life support modalities

• Engage in financial and administrative management of the division

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care

• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State

• Established record of academic excellence and leadership in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine

• Demonstrated ability in faculty development and collaborative leadership

• Financial and business acumen relevant to academic medical centers
