Description:
We are a mental health counseling practice looking for a dependable, experienced Part-Time Receptionist to support our team. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth client experience, maintaining professional communication, and protecting sensitive client information.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage phone calls, messages, and faxes via the Spruce: Medical Communication app
- Schedule client appointments and manage clinician calendars
- Use SimplePractice to handle electronic health records, billing, and client intakes
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Collect client payments
- Provide professional, compassionate support to clients and therapists
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations**
- Manage waiting room area throughout the week
Requirements:
- Documented HIPAA training (must be current)
- Experience using Spruce: Medical Communication app and SimplePractice preferred, but training will also be provided.
- Experience submitting insurance claims in a healthcare setting and pursuing remediation of claim denials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
