Medical Science Liaison

Description:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific expert responsible for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), scientific societies, and organizations in the rheumatology space. This role provides educational, scientific, and research support for Sobi’s rare disease portfolio, ensuring accurate and balanced communication in accordance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with key thought leaders and HCPs to exchange scientific and clinical knowledge.

• Report field intelligence, including competitive information, disease-state insights, and treatment landscape perspectives.

• Support clinical development and operations teams with site recommendations, site initiation visits, and accrual support.

• Participate in and lead advisory boards at local, regional, and national levels.

• Provide internal and external training on preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.

• Represent Sobi at medical conferences and provide scientific coverage.

• Serve as a scientific resource across cross-functional teams while maintaining advanced knowledge of relevant studies and therapies.

• Frequent travel (~70% of time) within assigned territory is required.

Qualifications:

• Accredited doctorate in a life-science or basic-science discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DSc, DNP).

• Strong scientific communication skills and ability to respond to inquiries from key stakeholders.

• Proven success in managing internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• High level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and flexibility.

• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical regulatory and legal environments.
