PATH (People Acting to Help) Inc., a highly accredited and innovative Community Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Center located in Northeast Philadelphia, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join their team. As a Mental Health Therapist at PATH, you will be responsible for providing high-quality individual and group therapy services using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles, and trauma-informed practices in a culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy services including individual, couples, family, and group sessions
Maintain a dedicated caseload under the supervision of the program manager
Assess individual needs through comprehensive evaluations
Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and collect relevant background information
Actively engage clients in treatment and provide outreach as necessary
Address psychiatric rehabilitation principles using the Boston University Approach when appropriate
Plan and implement topic-focused group therapy
Collaborate with psychiatrists and other team members regularly
Ensure timely documentation, including discharge planning
Take appropriate emergency action during medical incidents
Maintain productivity expectations and flexible scheduling based on client needs
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Human Services
Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders
Strong organizational skills
Active driver’s license
COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to get vaccinated required
