PATH (People Acting to Help) Inc., a highly accredited and innovative Community Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Center located in Northeast Philadelphia, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join their team. As a Mental Health Therapist at PATH, you will be responsible for providing high-quality individual and group therapy services using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles, and trauma-informed practices in a culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapy services including individual, couples, family, and group sessions

  • Maintain a dedicated caseload under the supervision of the program manager

  • Assess individual needs through comprehensive evaluations

  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and collect relevant background information

  • Actively engage clients in treatment and provide outreach as necessary

  • Address psychiatric rehabilitation principles using the Boston University Approach when appropriate

  • Plan and implement topic-focused group therapy

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other team members regularly

  • Ensure timely documentation, including discharge planning

  • Take appropriate emergency action during medical incidents

  • Maintain productivity expectations and flexible scheduling based on client needs

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services

  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Active driver’s license

  • COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to get vaccinated required
