Migration Consultant

Description:

Veeva Systems, a leading cloud-based SaaS provider for the life sciences industry, is seeking an experienced Migration Consultant to join their Professional Services group. This role will focus on implementing data and document migration solutions for Veeva Vault R&D applications and Vault Platform solutions, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy systems to modern, compliant platforms.

As a Migration Consultant, you will lead customer migration projects, providing expertise in data transformation, content migration, and integration using Vault APIs and best practices. You will also mentor migration specialists, contribute to the knowledge base, advise on ETL processes, and provide strategic input during project scoping.

Veeva offers a flexible remote work environment with travel requirements of up to 10% and is open to candidates legally authorized in the U.S. or Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end migration projects for document content and object data from legacy systems to Vault R&D platforms

• Advise clients on extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes

• Mentor migration team members and contribute to internal best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Services, Product, Sales, Strategy) for successful project delivery

• Assist in migration tool development and project scope estimations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of document/content migration with enterprise content management systems (Documentum, OpenText, SharePoint, Box, etc.)

• 3+ years of database migration experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.)

• 3+ years of customer-facing technical consulting experience

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities

• Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, and XML

• Ability to travel up to 10%

• Must be based in and authorized to work in the United States or Canada

Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences, project management, GxP compliance, and migration verification processes.
