Oklahoma State University – Center for Health Sciences is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join its Biomedical Imaging Center team. This position offers the opportunity to work in both clinical diagnostic imaging and advanced research MRI projects, including specialized breast MRI protocols and infant MRI. Key Responsibilities:
Perform standard clinical and advanced research MRI scans in accordance with established protocols.
Position patients and research participants for imaging, ensuring safety, comfort, and proper alignment.
Conduct MRI scans with and without contrast agents, including specialized breast and infant MRI protocols.
Assist in implementing and optimizing clinical MRI protocols on a Siemens MRI platform.
Transfer imaging data to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and research data.
Support MR safety practices, assist in training staff, and verify MR conditional status of implanted medical devices.
Perform quality assurance (QA) testing and maintain scanner performance records.
Collaborate as a core team member within the Biomedical Imaging Center and with research faculty.
Required Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical degree in Radiologic Technology (degree must be conferred before start date) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years’ experience performing clinical diagnostic MRI.
Certification & Registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from ARRT or ARMRIT.
Proficiency in operating MRI scanners and related equipment (e.g., contrast injectors, GFR measurement tools).
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Flexibility to accommodate varied work schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Siemens XA30 software platform.
Over 3 years’ experience in clinical diagnostic MRI.
