CPI Capital is offering an educational internship for students seeking practical experience in the multifamily real estate industry. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related fields and may qualify for academic credit through your institution.

 

The internship is unpaid and structured to provide meaningful learning experiences, mentorship, and exposure to real-world projects. Interns will work closely with the acquisitions and asset management teams to gain insights into the multifamily investment process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Analyze multifamily real estate markets, focusing on key metrics like job growth, rent trends, population growth, and crime rates.
  • Underwriting Support: Assist in underwriting multifamily investment opportunities using Excel models and other tools.
  • Rent Comparables Analysis: Research competitive properties to evaluate potential rent adjustments and renovation scopes.
  • Asset Management Assistance: Monitor operational performance of properties, including occupancy, rent collections, and expense management.
  • Data Collection: Compile data from property managers, brokers, and third-party reports for informed decision-making.
  • Report Preparation: Help prepare investor updates, deal summaries, and internal performance reviews.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to strategic initiatives as needed, such as exploring new revenue streams or improving operational efficiencies.
