Teora – Authorized Yamaha Music School, established in Tomball, TX in December 2018, is a leading music school endorsed by Yamaha. Serving The Woodlands, Augusta Pines, Spring, Tomball, and nearby communities, the school provides a wide variety of music education programs, including piano, guitar, drums, violin, bass, voice, and music production. Teora also offers music therapy, preschool-focused music programs, and access to state-of-the-art rehearsal and recording facilities, creating a contemporary and professional learning environment for students of all ages.

The school is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Guitar Teacher to join its faculty. The ideal candidate will not only demonstrate excellent musicianship but also possess the love, patience, and ability to effectively teach and inspire children and young learners. In addition to teaching guitar, familiarity with Yamaha’s structured music programs is considered a strong advantage, along with the ability to play and teach multiple instruments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing school dedicated to cultivating a lifelong love of music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, tailored lesson plans for diverse student needs.

• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, motivating learning environment.

• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and areas of improvement.

• Assess and track student performance, providing individualized support as needed.

• Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance curriculum and share best practices.

• Promote music education through interactive and creative teaching methods.

• Maintain accurate lesson records and assignment books.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field preferred; minor in Education is a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching music to school-aged children.

• Prior experience with Yamaha Schools and programs is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in multiple instruments is a strong plus.

• Strong ability to engage and inspire children, with patience and creativity.
