Neta Testing Technician

Description:

Vertiv is seeking an ERS DOD SkillBridge NETA Testing Technician to perform comprehensive testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of electrical power distribution systems, with a focus on low and medium voltage switchgear up to 15 kV class. The role involves acting as a lead on projects, conducting complex testing, performing simple relay calibration, and using load recording instrumentation to ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed project reports, estimating man-hours and expenses for proposals, performing simple power system studies (short circuit and protective device coordination), and contributing to business development initiatives. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100-pound test sets, travel up to 50%, and work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, with availability for out-of-town and international assignments.

Strong technical expertise in switchgear testing, knowledge of the National Electrical Code, OSHA, and NFPA standards is required. NETA exam certification is mandatory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, good judgment, strong computer proficiency, and the ability to supervise projects effectively while upholding Vertiv’s core principles of safety, integrity, respect, teamwork, and inclusion.
