New Grad Engineer

HNTB, a leading engineering and infrastructure solutions provider with more than a century of expertise, is seeking New Grad Engineers I to join its team in Summer 2026. This is a remarkable opportunity for fresh graduates who are passionate about designing and delivering solutions for some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects across the U.S.

As a New Grad Engineer I, you will play a key role in assisting with the production and modification of design calculations, engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports. You will gain hands-on exposure to diverse projects and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to real-world challenges. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure development while learning from experienced professionals in traffic, highway, structures, overhead contact systems, and signals engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.

• Conduct research, data collection, and field investigations to support project execution.

• Perform engineering design tasks under guidance, applying technical knowledge to project challenges.

• Support the preparation of project cost and quantity estimates.

• Provide administrative support for design files and assist project teams with day-to-day tasks.

• Ensure assigned work is completed within schedule and allocated hours.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).

• Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

• Strong technical proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

• Demonstrated interest in transportation, infrastructure, and public works.

This is a full-time, regular position with placement in Pennsylvania (Harrisburg, King of Prussia, Philadelphia). Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
