Vistra Corp., a global leader in the energy industry, is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Sr. Nuclear Instructor - Electrical Maintenance to join its team in Glen Rose, Texas. This role is crucial in shaping the future of nuclear power by delivering expert-level instruction, guidance, and hands-on training to aspiring professionals in the field of nuclear electrical systems. The selected candidate will work in an educational environment that emphasizes safety, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

The instructor will be responsible for coordinating and supporting training program requirements, scheduling and facilitating Program and Curriculum Review Committee meetings, preparing agendas, gathering training data, and ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards. Responsibilities also include developing and presenting comprehensive training materials such as lesson plans, job performance measures (JPMs), simulator guides, individualized instruction materials, and seminars. The role requires participation in internal and external training program assessments, maintaining documentation consistent with industry training requirements, and implementing corrective actions for program improvement.

Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in commercial nuclear or Navy nuclear operations is strongly preferred.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Designing, maintaining, and delivering nuclear training programs and materials.

• Conducting curriculum reviews and training effectiveness evaluations.

• Preparing lesson plans, workbooks, simulator guides, and technical training documents.

• Ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and continuous improvement in training programs.

• Supporting assessments, audits, and maintaining program documentation.

Education & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 6 years of instructional or applicable department experience.

• Commercial nuclear or Navy nuclear background preferred.

• Strong leadership, technical competence, teamwork, and results orientation.
