CivicMinds, Inc is currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing advanced nuclear imaging procedures, primarily brain SPECT scans, and maintaining the required safety and quality control protocols. The position offers a standard 8-hour day shift and falls under the healthcare management category.

The role demands high technical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and care for patients compassionately in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals while ensuring full compliance with state licensing and documentation standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform brain SPECT scans and administer associated protocols.

  • Prepare patients for procedures including IV setup and dose administration.

  • Accurately process, print, and archive scan images before the end of each workday.

  • Handle all hot lab duties, including daily constancy checks with two sources, daily radiation surveys, weekly wipe tests, and quarterly/annual calibrator tests (linearity, geometry, and accuracy).

  • Maintain quality assurance and up-to-date logbooks, as well as conduct regular equipment maintenance (e.g., Odyssey hard drive, gamma cameras).

  • Order necessary isotopes in advance and manage inventory of medical supplies.

  • Perform semi-annual sealed source leak tests and document accordingly.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist license for the state of Texas.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical setting.

  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and colleagues.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Empathy, emotional stability, and a strong sense of patient care.

  • Familiarity with brain imaging techniques is a plus.
