Nurse Practitioner

Description:

Evernorth Care Group, a major primary care provider in metropolitan Phoenix, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care across multiple East Valley clinics. This role supports clinician PTO, leaves of absence, and vacancies, typically covering at least one week per clinic at a time.

Clinical Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Conduct patient screenings, history, and physical exams to determine care plans and treat health conditions.

• Update and maintain accurate patient health records for continuity of care.

• Analyze test results and imaging to determine follow-up appointments or treatment options.

• Serve as a resource for patient guidance, counseling, and critical condition management.

• Perform chronic health assessments, order labs, imaging, specialty referrals, and prescribe medications.

• Conduct differential medical diagnosis, order and interpret lab tests, radiology, and EKGs.

• Manage acute and chronic illness with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.

• Respond to onsite emergencies until EMS arrival.

• Assess responses to therapeutic interventions and recommend changes to treatment plans.

• Clinically supervise nurses and care team members.

• Follow legal, ethical, and state board guidelines for nursing practice.

• Travel to local clinics as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of NP experience in a primary care setting.

• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP, AANC).

• Graduate of a Certified NP Program (Master’s, post-master’s, or doctoral).

• Active, unrestricted AZ NP license; pharmacy and DEA privileges required.

• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.

• Strong team-building, computer, and EHR skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

• Must keep licenses current and participate in CME education.

• Internet requirement for remote work: 10Mbps download / 5Mbps upload via cable/fiber.
