Occupational Therapist

Lifepoint Health, a leader in community-based care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its rehabilitation team at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, ME. This is a PRN, part-time role designed for a highly motivated professional who is committed to helping patients develop, recover, and maintain essential daily living and occupational skills.

CMMC is a 250-bed, not-for-profit, Level III Trauma Center that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care and advanced orthopedic rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify functional limitations and therapy needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving patient independence and daily living activities.

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services in alignment with clinical best practices.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapy goals and care strategies.

• Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and ensure compliance with all licensing and professional standards.

• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) and therapy technicians.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.

• State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation strongly preferred.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
