Office Specialist

 

Description:

The Big Fresno Fair is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Office Specialist to join our administrative team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily office operations and ensuring smooth communication across departments in preparation for the Central Valley’s largest annual event, The Big Fresno Fair, plus more than 250 year-round events at the Fresno Fairgrounds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, document preparation and mail distribution

· Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner

· Maintain and update office records, databases and event-related files

· Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and coordinating event logistics

· Support Fair departments with clerical tasks related to vendors, ticketing, volunteer coordination and guest services

· Help ensure the office environment is clean, organized and well-stocked with supplies

· Perform other duties as assigned to support overall Fair and Fresno Fairgrounds operations

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred

· At least one year of clerical or administrative experience

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

· Experience with event planning or public-facing organizations is a plus

· Spanish speaking is a plus.
