On Call Visitor Experience Associate

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactively provides friendly and courteous service to members and visitors

• Assists visitors in navigating museum spaces

• Ability to work effectively with the public and coworkers

• Tracking attendance into exhibition galleries

• Moving stanchions and other equipment, placing signage based on business needs

• Operates coat check, checking-in visitors personal items

• Maintain neat and organized work spaces

• Controls crowds as needed

• Operates a digital point of sale system as needed

• Promotes museum membership, audio tour, and special exhibition sales on-site

• Informs, sells and processes memberships

• Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Anticipated start date for this position is 2/29/23

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays and some evenings

• Saturday-Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday availability preferred

• Regular scheduled shift times are 9am-5pm, 10:30am-3:30pm

• There will be three paid training shifts scheduled upon hire

• Training shifts begin on Wednesdays and Thursdays, are from 9am-5pm and occur during the first two weeks of employment

• Scheduled shifts are made available to employees 14 days in advance

• Ideal candidates will be available to work 4 days per week including at least one weekend day.

• Hours fluctuate pending availability and business needs
