Operational Data Strategy Analyst

 

Description:

The Operational Data Strategy Analyst at Acosta is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and overall performance across the sales organization, aligning with Acosta’s strategic goals. This role involves delivering critical insights, data analysis, systems evaluation, and tool development to support business decisions. The analyst will regularly communicate with all management levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enable strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize technical tools including Power BI, MS Access/SQL Server databases, MS Office Suite, Web Browsers, and apply familiarity with Salesforce and Artificial Intelligence for data management, analysis, and process improvement.

  • Data Analysis: Transform raw data into actionable insights to drive strategic decisions and address business challenges.

  • Project Management & Delivery: Support project delivery by tracking agreed-upon deliverables, timelines, and costs with effective follow-up and communication.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with multiple teams to identify process improvement opportunities, deliver initiatives on time, and support adoption of new tools and processes.

  • Research: Conduct research on financial and operational data to support Sales Leadership decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing operational processes and partner with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.

  • Communication: Present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, regularly sharing findings, challenges, and recommendations.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform analyses as needed to guide decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years in strategic or analytical roles; experience in the CPG industry preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, MS Access/SQL Server, MS Office Suite, Web Browsers, and familiarity with Salesforce and AI tools.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a growth mindset and divergent thinking capabilities.
