Description:

SpaceX is seeking a Production Coordinator to support test and fabrication teams, ensuring on-time delivery of components, assemblies, and products. The role involves monitoring, tracking, and coordinating parts, workflows, and schedules in a high-stakes aerospace manufacturing environment. The coordinator collaborates across planning, procurement, engineering, production, and test teams to maintain data integrity, optimize logistics, and drive efficiency while adhering to SpaceX specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create inventory requests and manage replacement parts.

  • Monitor, track, and move parts for timely delivery.

  • Verify received materials for conformity, damage, part numbers, and quantity.

  • Perform de-kitting operations and manage return to stock processes.

  • Maintain production schedules and manage shortages.

  • Promote workflow consistency and accuracy to reduce internal logistics lead-time.

  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams on work orders.

  • Manage material certifications and ensure proper handling of parts.

  • Coordinate off-site parts processing and support purchase requisitions.

  • Maintain clean MRP/ERP data and resolve system data issues.

  • Develop reports on needs, deliverables, and constraints.

  • Support projects, productivity activities, and corrective actions in production cells.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

  • 1+ year(s) of supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, or operations experience.

Desired Characteristics / Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Associate's degree in business or technology field.

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing.

  • Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery.

  • APICS, PMP, Six Sigma, or relevant manufacturing certifications.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP software.

  • Attention to detail with focus on data accuracy and compliance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work 1st shift hours: Mon-Fri 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; overtime/weekends as needed.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and in extreme outdoor environments.

  • Exposure to fumes, odors, and noise; ability to operate machinery.

  • Available for travel (up to 20%), including military/government installations.

  • ITAR compliance: must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for authorization.
