Operations Manager

Description:

Scientific Search is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead end-to-end operational activities at a biotechnology site specializing in bio-consumables. This leadership role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational performance within a regulated BSL-2 environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, hands-on leader passionate about improving public safety through efficient and compliant biotech manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of site operations, including production, quality, and supply chain functions.

• Ensure GMP, ISO, and safety compliance across all operational processes and facility activities.

• Collaborate with technical, R&D, and sales teams to align production goals with commercialization objectives.

• Implement lean manufacturing initiatives and drive continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity and reduce operational risk.

• Lead internal and external audits, prepare KPI-driven operational reports, and ensure alignment with corporate performance metrics.

• Manage site risk assessments, compliance documentation, and emergency preparedness in accordance with BSL-2 standards.

• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

• Proven experience managing biotech operations within GMP and ISO-compliant environments.

• Solid understanding of microbiology, biotech production systems, and analytical equipment used in life sciences.

• Familiarity with BSL-2 pathogens and regulatory expectations for biological product manufacturing.

• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience; PMP or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
