Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough and precise eye examinations, including assessment of visual acuity, refraction, and overall ocular health

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions and diseases in collaboration with the optometric team

• Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to patient needs

• Utilize a highly organized patient management system to ensure smooth clinical operations and patient satisfaction

• Communicate effectively with patients, offering guidance on treatments, preventive eye care, and answering related inquiries

• Collaborate with insurance providers to validate patient coverage and assist in claims processing

• Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and clinical standards, including proper documentation and patient confidentiality

• Remain current on industry advancements through continuing education and training initiatives

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution

• Valid license to practice optometry in the state of New York

• Strong clinical knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases and conditions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients

• Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills
