Description:
MDOT SHA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle/SQL Server Database Management Specialist with expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c, Microsoft SQL Server 2016, and TALEND. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in database administration, security, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and system monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Server Configuration & Management:
- Install and configure Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Set up database sizing, indexing, and optimization.
- Configure OEM tools, Oracle Grid Management Server, and Oracle Data Guard.
- Deploy software installations and upgrades for Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Windows & Linux.
🔹 Database Security & Backup:
- Implement data encryption, RMAN backups, and security hardening.
- Configure LDAP, Active Directory authentication, and Virtual Private Database (VPD).
- Monitor SQL Server, Oracle, and Windows security logs.
🔹 Oracle Administration:
- Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
- Oversee database availability, recovery, and performance tuning.
🔹 SQL Server Administration:
- Administer SQL Server databases, clusters, and reporting services (SSRS).
- Configure database backup, restoration, alerts, and performance monitoring.
🔹 TALEND Administration:
- Install, configure, and manage TALEND Enterprise Data Integration Server.
- Establish TALEND job design, metadata, and scheduling.
🔹 Database Monitoring & New Technology Implementation:
- Utilize Spotlight, TOAD, and ERWIN for data modeling & performance monitoring.
- Research and recommend new database technologies and migration paths.
Qualifications & Certifications:
✅ Minimum 6 years of experience in DBMS systems analysis & programming.
✅ Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification – Required.
✅ At least one of the following Microsoft Certifications:
- MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014
- MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration
- MCSA: Database Development
- MCSA: BI Development / BI Reporting
- MCSA: Machine Learning / Data Engineering with Azure
