Outside Sales Executive

 

Description:

Kohler Co. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sr. Outside Sales Executive to join its dynamic NE KBNA Sales Team. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and evaluating all field sales activities within the assigned territory. The selected candidate will act as a key representative for Kohler plumbing products, building and strengthening relationships with key decision-makers while driving product, channel, and program sales initiatives in alignment with company policies and goals.

The primary mission is to promote Kohler’s plumbing solutions through distributors to builders, plumbers, contractors, architects, and engineers, ensuring Kohler products are specified and preferred across projects. The Sales Executive will prepare annual sales forecasts, manage distributor account plans, and take on special assignments directed by branch managers while adapting channel focus to strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with distributor accounts to promote Kohler products.

  • Guiding distributor sales personnel by offering training, resolving issues, and supporting their sales efforts.

  • Building connections with contractors, builders, architects, plumbers, and engineers to drive product specification.

  • Analyzing account performance, competition, and market conditions while recommending improvements in sales strategies.

  • Developing annual distributor account plans covering marketing, sales, training, showroom, promotional, and advertising strategies.

  • Collaborating closely with other Sales Executives, Branch Managers, Business Development Managers, and internal departments.

  • Handling service and quality issues, conducting inspections, and resolving customer complaints effectively.

  • Representing Kohler at sales meetings, trade shows, and industry conventions to enhance product knowledge and market presence.

  • Managing pricing programs within the assigned territory according to company guidelines.

  • Preparing necessary reports, correspondence, and expense documentation.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience with a strong track record of meeting/exceeding objectives.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with management and external stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Travel Requirement:
Approximately 10–30% travel required for customer visits, trade shows, and plant visits.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Monthly salary range: 7308 – 9133 USD (depending on experience, education, and location).
