Owner Operator Class A Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
• Transport goods via refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or Dry Van
• Ensure timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after trips
• Manage routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status or issues
• Follow all safety protocols related to freight handling and transportation

Experience

• 2+ years proven experience in Class A Tractor Trailer Driving with a valid Class A CDL
• Prior experience with delivery operations including load/unload procedures
• Familiarity with various trailer types (reefers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks) preferred
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks required
• Knowledge of freight handling and route planning for efficient deliveries
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus
