CyberCoders, on behalf of a reputable California-based law firm, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic defense team in San Diego. This position is ideal for candidates with strong experience in civil litigation who are eager to work in a collaborative environment focused on professional excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys through all stages of civil defense litigation, including case organization, document management, and trial preparation.

  • Organize exhibits, documents, briefs, and evidence for discovery and trial.

  • Conduct background checks, social media investigations, and litigation searches.

  • Prepare subpoenas for medical, billing, radiology, employment, and workers’ compensation records.

  • Create comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analyses for case preparation.

  • Conduct research on jury verdicts, settlements, and case outcomes.

  • Summarize discovery responses and document productions.

  • Coordinate with experts on review materials, depositions, and trial testimony.

  • Prepare trial exhibits, demonstratives, witness binders, and coordinate with internal and external teams.

  • Assist with voir dire, jury selection, and witness preparation for trial proceedings.

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping to meet 1,500 billable hour requirements annually.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a civil or defense-focused law firm.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.

  • Familiarity with trial preparation, document review, and case management systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, legal databases, and document management tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary: $70,000 – $95,000
