Patient Care Tech

Description:

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the Jamestown Family Medicine Clinic team. This role supports ambulatory services by performing basic patient care and assisting the clinical team. The PCT will work with patients across all age groups, contributing to a team-oriented and patient-focused environment. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, specialized onboarding, and career advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take patient vital signs.

• Room patients for providers.

• Clean and stock patient treatment rooms.

• Assist providers and nursing staff as needed.

• Apply scope of practice in patient care under supervision.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

• Minimum six months of experience preferred; clinic experience preferred.

• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within first 60 days.

• For ND-based non-CNAs, must register as Nursing Assistant within four months of employment.

• Self-motivated, independent, compassionate, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
