Overlake Medical Center & Clinics, a nationally recognized healthcare organization in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) / Nurse Technician to join its Post Surgical Unit. This per-diem, day-shift position offers the opportunity to work in a patient-centered environment that values compassion, collaboration, and excellence in care delivery.

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role is ideal for certified nursing assistants or nursing students seeking to gain valuable clinical experience in a professional, patient-focused hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care and support to patients and families under RN supervision.

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.

  • Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and communicate changes to nursing staff.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation.

  • Support post-surgical patient needs, including ambulation and comfort positioning.

  • Handle hospital equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications (Patient Care Technician):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program or equivalent nursing training.

  • Active Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) credential required.

  • Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) credential required (Overlake will sponsor this licensure).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.

  • One year of recent experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, EKG, and basic computer skills preferred.

  • Strong English communication and record-keeping skills.

Qualifications (Nurse Technician):

  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in a state-approved nursing program.

  • Completion of at least one clinical quarter of nursing training.

  • Registered with the Washington State Nursing Commission as a Nursing Technician.

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

  • Must maintain proof of academic progress and program standing.

  • Ability to provide direct patient care under RN supervision.

  • Nurse Technician pay rate: $26.25/hour.
