Patient Care Technician

Description:

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking dedicated Patient Care Technicians (CNA) and Nurse Technicians to join their Orthopedic & Spine Surgery unit in Bellevue, WA. These roles provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with facility standards and under RN supervision.

• Assist with patient mobility, vital signs, and daily living activities.

• Maintain accurate documentation and handle hospital equipment properly.

• Follow all safety, infection control, and hospital policies.

• Nurse Technicians work under “direct supervision” of an RN, performing delegated nursing duties per scope of practice.

Qualifications:

Patient Care Technician (CNA):

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or equivalent nursing training.

• Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) required; Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) optional (Overlake may sponsor licensure).

• BLS for Health Care Providers certification required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred; computer literacy preferred.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nurse Technician (NT):

• High school graduate with at least one clinical quarter of documented nursing training.

• Registered with the Washington State Nursing Commission as a Nursing Technician.

• BLS Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.

• Maintains current enrollment and good standing in an approved nursing program.

• Competency verified during orientation via skills checklist.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, hospital equipment, and record keeping preferred.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Exposure to soaps, sterilants, and body substances expected.

Pay Rate:

• Patient Care Technician: $24.95/hr – $36.91/hr

• Nurse Technician: $26.25/hr
