Description:

WSFS Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to join its customer-focused banking team, responsible for enhancing customer relationships and delivering exceptional financial services across branches in Montgomery County and the Valley Forge market. This full-time role offers a 40-hour/week schedule with rotating hours and 2–3 Saturdays per month, designed to provide flexibility and comprehensive training for career advancement in retail banking.

As a Personal Banker, your core responsibility is to understand your customers’ financial needs, offer tailored product and service recommendations, and foster long-term customer loyalty. You will open new accounts, submit loan applications, resolve customer issues, assist with teller transactions, and actively promote the Bank’s digital banking platforms. In addition to delivering superior service in person, outbound calling efforts will be used to grow and deepen relationships.

You’ll receive a structured 4–6-month training program blending classroom instruction and real-world application to equip you with the skills and tools necessary for success. The program emphasizes transaction processing, customer interaction, relationship building, and sales techniques.

This is a customer-facing role requiring a high level of professionalism, communication skills, product knowledge, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services.

  • Open accounts, process loan applications, and conduct teller transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Resolve service issues and assist with account maintenance and problem resolution.

  • Promote and educate customers on WSFS Bank’s digital banking services.

  • Support the branch team in achieving customer satisfaction and business development goals.

  • Participate in a rotating schedule with flexibility to work weekdays and multiple Saturdays per month.

  • Travel between branches in assigned market area as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience.

  • Cash handling experience is required.

  • Consultative sales experience is required.

  • Prior experience in a retail or banking environment is preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship provided).

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, enthusiastic customer service approach.

  • Ability to use and learn multiple banking and software systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to market and promote financial products and services.
